they are pinging the user list in some desperate attempt to get more site hits to keep the advertisers spending more good money after bad.

advertisers must be coming up on renewals or something and from the looks of it, the traffic has to be abysmal

and they are seeing the tally and asking why they should spends "x dollars" for banner space on a washed-out  dead-end dirt road going down into some bottomless back-hollow

I use our vendors here and always make a point of telling them I saw them on the DMF (usually as I am trying to wheedle some additional member discount out of them)

i had a reason to be a nice troll with numerous aliases on the old board, as I had some friends and some supposed "fans."

It is a lot of work and I don't have the time nor a reason to make the beast with two backs with a board that gets 10 posts a month.
