Uh, when you said to be careful of what you wish for.  Come on, don't play dense.  But if I misinterpreted what you meant, then you're getting a bit of your own medicine -- an over-sensitive reaction to an otherwise throw-away comment in an internet post.  Because if your Victorian sensibilities are offended by my joke, then you're going to have to be prepared to have an equally thin-skinned response.  It's only fair.  That said, in truth, I wasn't even remotely offended by your comment but since you wanted to pick a fight, I'm only happy to oblige.

As for saying that you didn't find my joke funny, curiously you didn't say that.  I suspect that you wouldn't have wasted the time to post "I don't find that funny."   Instead, you posted something entirely different, and you posted it publicly.  You could have avoided an argument by either ignoring my post or sending me a PM.  But instead you chose to pick a fight when you knew I'd respond.  Are you hoping that it would/will escalate?  Or do you want to be the responsible adult here and just let it go?  Clearly, I'm not planning on taking on that role.

I'm typically not much on people who are politically correct, but I'm definitely with you on this one.  Some of the things I used to joke about I now realize were tasteless and/or offensive...some of it was realizing those targets that seemed like an easy laugh were issue that affected real people, the rest was maybe just growing up.  Really put a crimp in my sense of humor for a while...
