I don't know that it's any better racing than the 250s were ('cept that there is more sliding), but it seems like more people are watching it.

i think it's b/c people who are not racing fanatics have a much easier time identifying with the class.  everyone has a japanese 600.  almost no one has a 2-stroke 250.

I agree. For whatever reason, I have a hard time getting into the 125 and 250 races. I really like Moto2 though.

Maybe it's because of the sliding...always makes a race more fun to watch!  Grin

seemingly? they're all using the exact same motor.  they ARE equal in power.

but since they are using different exhaust systems and styles, there are variances in some level of state of optimal tune.

Not enough to make a big difference.  It's not like 250s, where some of the bikes were clearly superior to others.

Noyes' rear-sliding, tight defensive lines from last weekend were just awesome to watch.  He made himself a total pregnant dog to pass.

I want them to go back to having to push their bikes of the line on the start. Now that was cool.
But first they run to the bikes from 40 yards away.

Loved watching him throw in that arc in each of the short straights to shut down the inside. It was like he was saying I DARE you to try and pass me when I do this shit.
I think Elias was having an absolute blast dicing it up with him too. It was a very fun race to watch.

For those who didn't see the race, here is a recap video from motogp.com.
