It has been a rough week for me. Work has been crazy, my personal life has been difficult and stressful, and I hadn't had an opportunity to ride. After spending 6 hours in the cage yesterday and today I got home, it was Sunday afternoon and I had stuff to take care of around the house. Then the Sunday afternoon / evening anxiety started to set in where I start thinking about all of the stuff I need to get done this coming week.

I looked out the window at the Monster under the cover.
30 seconds later the gear was coming on. 5 minutes later the cover was off and the bike was idling.
I punched the gas and before even leaving the condo complex I was being stupid and feeling better.

I don't think I got out of third gear during the entire 50 mile ride, but I know I hit the rev limiter in every gear I was in.

I have been swapping between the Triumph and the Monster recently and after not riding this week I guess I had forgotten how quickly the Monster can just wipe my mind clean and make me feel awesome.
I feel much better now. I love my monster.
On another note...
I've started wearing ear plugs because I need to keep what little hearing I have, but with the Monster I can still feel the bike, and when I'm really getting on the gas I can hear it well. I think this contributes to me going much faster but being more relaxed.
Thanks, that's all I've got.
