I just purchased a carbon fiber headlight bucket.  $200.

I have an S flyscreen, so it just peeks out when looking at the bike at a precious few angles... but god it is sooooooo sexy!  I think it may have surpassed my SpeedyMoto pully covers (ever so slightly) as my favorite frivolous part.

So just as it says... what's your favorite part on your bike, that lacks any functionality?  Basiclly anything that doesn't add to the performance or functionality of your bike in any way... but you still wouldn't ever consider living without it?

Gawd, on my bike?  Most of it.  laughingdp  One of my favorite parts that adds no functionality (other than the MCs and quick turn throttle) but that I couldn't live without is the ungodly amount of time and $ spent on the cockpit.

i dont have many. maybe just 2.

I wanted to say gel seat, but thats function. if not that then defintely lowered guages. really fixes up the look on the front end. i LOVE flyscreen that monsterparts has, same one that pompetta has. but its pure bling and i dont really like to spend money on useless stuff.

Expensive and useless . . . does buying and discarding parts 5 times before I find what I like count?

Ahh, yes!  I just did that 3 times 'till I found the right crank case cover!   laughingdp

I also did the gages below the triple tree and lowered headlight after reading some of He-man's posts in an older thread!  Love the results.

And Spidey... it was worth the effort.  Billet, billet everywhere.  Beuatifully utilitarian.  I'm trying to figure out what the polished item is just above the left grip.  Switches?

I would have to say my crankcase breather setup. I went with the STM wide open race breather rather than the strait replacement. The rest wasn't so much the money but the ridiculous amount of time involved in making the setup work.

The DP billet gas cap. Non-locking but I love the way it looks on my black tank. waytogo

The oil filler cap with the temp gauge on it...love it...

thoroughly redundant and equally useless

but it adds a nice retro look to the engine

Useless mods:
STM billet swingarm pivot plugs
Rizoma Belt Covers
Desmoworld.de Clear-Glass headlight
Rizoma Turn Signals
Rizoma Reservoirs

All useless or no better functionally than the OEM parts.
