For those that live or work on the West Side (14th St. to Columbus Circle on the West Side) and want to help secure dedicated moto parking:
Wednesday May 19th at 6:30 PM

Community Board 4 Transportation Committee Meeting

Wednesday May 19th at 6:30 PM

Holland House, 351 W 42nd St. between 8th and 9th Ave.

From NYMSTF:

As some of you may have heard, the New York Motorcycle and Scooter
Task Force has gotten approval for two of our requested dedicated
motorcycle/scooter parking areas in the W. Village. We've been asked
to submit other requests within CB2 in July, but in the meantime
we're working on getting spots in Chelsea and midtown.

The Transportation Committee of CB4 in Manhattan, (14th St. to
Columbus Circle on the West Side), has asked the Task Force to make
our presentation again at their upcoming meeting this Wednesday evening. They wanted to give residents of the blocks nearby our
requested sites a chance to respond. The more riders show up, the
more requested spots will be approved. It will be especially useful
if riders who live or work in CB4 would come to the meeting to speak
out in favor of our parking pilot program, but all supportive riders
will be much appreciated.

Community Board 4 Transportation Committee Meeting

Sign in when you arrive, and write in NYMSTF where they ask for group
or affiliation. Jesse, the Chair of the Task Force Parking Committee,
will be making a power-point presentation. After the presentation
members of the Community Board will ask questions. The floor will
then be open for statements and questions from the community directed
to the Task Force and the CB.

I hope to see some of you on Wednesday night at 6:30.

Oh man this is so my area... I'd love to get some dedicated parking in the W Village and up like 48-59th st on 11th... But I'm working (in that area) at that time on Wednesday bang head.  If it would help to get my name down in the book regardless, and you're willing to add me to it in absentia, PM me and I'll give you my info!

I will be there.  Even if you are not from the West Side, the more people who show up wearing something that identifies you as a motorcyclist the better.
