Pressure plate
«

I just purchased a pressure plate, caps and open clutch cover for my S4R.
How easy is it to change these myself? Is it a simple task or do i need to worry about springs and bits flying out when i remove the bolts?

piece of piss serious udo the cover and theow over left shoulder but keep the bolts , undo the spring bolts and pull everything of when you put your new cover on it will only fit on one way on the original ther is an arrow on the after market there usely not so you will have to rotate it around too it falls on replace springs, end caps ,but bee very careful when doing up the little spring bolts , push in and make shaw they dont cross thread but dont be scared once you have one started go to the next one and so on ,when all tha bolts are started check that the pressure plate hasnt moved out and is sitting closed on the cluch pack then finish doing up the spring bolts and they dont have too be real tight just nipped up thats it and when your finnished work the cluch too make shaw its working properly and put in gear and pull the cluch in to see if it releases before you start her ,sit back clean your finger prints of and listen to the rattle , shing shing rattle shing shing rattle

Haven't done it myself, but recall reading the below post a while ago - It isn't for an S4 (1198) but should be the same I think? Seems to have plenty of pics anyway...

Piece of piss.
As what Bazz said, dont tighten the bolts up too tight (5 - 7nm torque )
otherwise you risk snapping the clutch posts off.
Also to make the job even easier have a
[drink]or
on hand to get you through.
what type of plate and cover did you buy?

Much appreciated guys. It should arrive in the next 2 weeks so i'll take pics.
Only bought a cheapo plate and cover. I don't really like any of the designs so i figure why pay $250 for something i don't like when i can pay $150 for something i don't like LOL.
