In the post race conference, Jorge said "when I make the pass, I didn't expect it to be so easy."   laughingdp  I think he may be batting at a hornets nest.  Should be a good year between the Fiat pair.

Taking a page out of Rossi psychological warfare handbook. I like it  laughingdp

Great little shootout at the end with Hayden and the Honda contingent.  Very disappointing about Stoner.  This is the first season I'm tuning into, I just wanna see the dude race, and he keeps scraping up that beautiful bike.  The look on his crews' faces was that of disgust.

Interesting how Stoner lost the back end like that.  He's gonna have a hard road ahead of him.  I'm really hoping Nicky and teh Ben do well this year.

Looked like the lost the front first.  I wonder if he added some throttle to save the front and went too far.

Trust me, I have not forgotten. I can almost savour them right now. (as I say it I can almost feel myself cursing me to bad luck)

valentino said he still has some shoulder pain.  i would bet that had to do with not trying to chase him down.  but yeah, 5 seconds is pretty amazing.

waytogo waytogo nicky!  getting it done and NOT fading at the end of the race.  so nice to see that again.
 Sad  the ben.
some good battles in the back

I know this is still a ways away, but when I go to Laguna Seca I'm going to be a little pissed if Stoner DNF again.
by the 5th lap as the over/under for betting?  Tongue cheeky

should we handicap it by which turn as well?

I don't really think Vale's shoulder had anything to do with the outcome.  He said it didn't bother him until late race.  Rossi simply didn't have the race pace to be honest.  Looking at practice times, Vale never was consistantly fast like Jorge was... Stoner might have given him a run with a better start, but I think it was simply Lorenzo's weekend.
