Marzocchi RAC forks or Ohlins 25mm cartridge?

Never used either, but if you live in the U.S., you'll probably find more people that know how to setup and maintain the Ohlins than the Marzocchi.

Yeah...I am aware of the maintenance issues.  I am just concerned with the actual performance of both units.  Big plus to the Marzocchi forks is radial brake mounts.

FWIW, MV equips the Marzocchi units on their bikes as OEM.  Might be worth a shot.  Just sayin'...

Not sure what bike you're on, but I have Ohlins R&T forks, and I bought some (now discontinued) Cycle Cat adapters to put radial calipers on.  The brakes are great, but personally I think they're overkill for the Monster.

BTW, the Ohlins 25mm kit is all the rage with the club racers nowadays, so I don't think you'll have to worry about performance with that one.

The ohlins 25 is less desirable from my reading than the ohlins 20mm. Its heavier and doesn't necessarily flow better.

I've got the RAC 50 forks on my 1098 and they KICK ASS!



I've owned 1098S's, 999S's, Cannondales, BMW's, and a few other bikes with Ohlins forks, and I like the RAC50's the most.

We can get you a good deal on just the fork tubes (and radial brakes as well actually), for use with your custom triple clamps.

Or you can get the RAC43's, and they should bolt right up with no need for new triples ( I believe... ).
