Ok, so I'm a crappy photographer plus I forgot the GOPRO brackets and all my "helmet cam" shots suck.  The camera could only be mounted vertically, and the cover has a built-in panoramic lens, so all the shots of my tank bag look awesome.    Roll Eyes   Embarrassed

I did get one shot in WV (?) worth showing:

waytogo  Radar detector paid for itself (again).

I left Raleigh on Sunday, May 17 and rode to Madison WI.  Woke up and rode to Rapid City.

On Tuesday morning:

...and then:

Then I rode US385 north through Deadwood and Spearfish, SD.  North of Spearfish the wind was about 30mph from the east, so I had about 2 hrs of this with a strong side wind:

Until I got here:

Then over to Montana (missed the sign: it was small):

Rain on Tuesday cut the day short, and I stopped in Hardin, MT after about 400 miles.  Rain the next day cut the riding short.

...and on to Wyoming (which was cold: used my heated gear for Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday and Thursday).

I left Cheyenne on Thursday and rode to Moline, IL, and on Friday I rode from Moline to Camp Hill, PA to visit family.

My butt hurts, but several more trips planned this summer.

Bike ran great, and my new expensive chain oiler totally rocks!!   [moto]  Zero chain adjustments.  I filled the Lube Tube in PA and that was the extent of my chain maintenance for the last 5000 miles.

Yeah that is.  waytogo
Best I've done in a day is 780 but there is no way in hell I could keep that up over the course of 6 days.

Awesome territory!  Great ride, sounds like a great trip, thanks for sharing!  I saw Crazy Horse in 2000 and it hasn't changed a ton believe it or not ~

WOW...to be young and not all broken down again.

Great photos , hell of a trip !

I can do 140 miles in the hills on my 1098 R w, 4 -10 minute rest stops, and 2 Celebrex, 5 Ultrams , and 6 Ibuprofens.

I can hardly get out of bed for the next 3 days.
