Can't imagine that's very sturdy.    Undecided

What's the weight limit? 20lbs.

He's 168, & that is a very explosive race distance.

People say the same about the (Frail) trellis' on our bikes.  And no... I don't recommend doing this to steel.

Aluminium is a beautiful thing.

Glad you liked it   cheeky

At some point.. Somewhere (internet most likely)  I've seen something of this nature before.  Very interesting design and concept.  I can't see it being more functional than a nice blade shaped CF frame.  It definitely goes to show what some engineering can get done though!

I posted the pic of the road frame before, will try to post it again when I have time.

This was all about engineering.   I have ridden nothing but carbon race bikes in the past 5yrs. & Nothing...Nothing compares, Period.

Thanks DucMouse. Can't say I'll be posting here all the time, I'm in LA, but I will try to pop in and say hi as much as I can. Besides I got to become friends with Duc-Stew before he headed back out your direction so I'm sure I'll be around a little.

That's a whole lot of carbon fiber! Bet it feels more like you're flying than riding, especially at 13lbs!   waytogo

If it had wings, I think it would lift off. The bike & I together weigh 159

Fresh Pants, You & I combined weigh less than most guys, we'd have to take it for a ride, go back home & back over it in a car to break it. laughingdp
That proto bike is a no go though, based on a the seatpost alone

I have been riding bmx since I learned to ride on two wheels, and still ride a bit. However, I have always wanted one of these:
