Sargent Seat Group Buy

Hi All,

I contacted Sargent this past week asking them about a group buy since I 1) can't find good deals on used ones, 2) keep missing the good deals on used ones.  The following is what I was told.

The terms for a group buy are:
- 20 seats or more
- Shipped to the same address
- Billed to the same account, or paid for by check or money order

This would be a PITA for me, as I would have to have all the seats shipped to me to send out.  I'd have to charge minimum shipping though.

So the the price for a 2000-2008 model year seat w/ black piping is $429.  The new price would be $390, less shipping.  I'll check and ask if I can get different model year seats in this group buy.

Would anyone be interested in going in on this with me?

I dont think that would be a good deal for you to be honest, shipping them all would be a pain in the a$$, exspensive, and you may have a few that get damaged in transit that you would have to deal with.

I'm in the same boat, want a Sargent but feel they are waaay overpriced new and have missed out on a few used ones.....however if they could  do substantially better that the 10% discount offered I'd definitely be interested...my bike is a 2003 FWIW.  Anyway, thanks very much for making the effort and I hope they offer a better deal.

Agreed that the small savings doesn't mitigate the risk on your part.

Anybody have input on how superior a Sargent is, comfort-wise on a long day, over the latest
OEM Comfort Seat for the Monster?

Yeah, you guys are right.  Probably would be a huge PITA.  I guess 10% isn't the best deal anyway. 

Oh, and the Sargents are amazing seevtsaab.  Do a search on here and you'll see many a kudos for their product.

IIRC that sellers price for a Sargent Monster seat was close to MSRP, the $329 shown on Ebay is probably for a solo seat for some other Ducati...emailed them awhile back...but might be worth double checking.
