Same ole DesmoDevil, in a more gentle package

« on: June 04, 2010, 06:41:33 AM »

Friends and family,

Please join me in celebrating Jess' short life, well lived.    There will be two celebrations, one at the family ranch in Santa Fe and the other at Evan Cowles' home in Farmington CT,  followed by her interment at the family cemetery.

Both will be informal, festive celebrations with food and drink.  As Jess would wish, please no flowers, tears or ties.

Santa Fe, NM:  Saturday July 24th, 4pm
Farmington, CT:  Monday August 2, 4pm

Please forward this family and friends as my email list is not comprehensive.  RSVP to me via email (johndskinner@gmail.com) or phone (719) 439 4233 so I can plan food and drink.  If you are coming from out of town and need lodging, please let me know in your RSVP as I have rooms blocked off at local motels and hotels.

Jess had an amazing passion for animals, so if you wish to make a donation in lieu of flowers, please visit the Dumb Friends League online:  http://www.ddfl.org/

Looking forward to seeing you,

- John

All, I plan on coming down Thursday evening or Friday morning before the memorial.  Would love to grab dinner and drinks in ABQ with anyone who is free.

Anyone have a couch I can crash on for a night?

Absolutely to both.

Oh, but if we're going out for drinks, you'll have to sleep with me also.

Deal?

All,

I am looking forward to seeing you this weekend.  I am coming down tomorrow to finish up the last bit of planning.  Bick is coming down with me.

For now, I need to be flexible with my time and accommodations.  Thank you ALL for the offers to stay.  Your friendship through all of this has been amazing and I am humbled and thankful.

I would like to grab a drink or dinner with you all Friday night ...7ish in ABQ?  I will keep you posted.  Also, dont hold the 6pm end on Saturday in stone.  Hanging with those that wish would be great...its a stunning setting to shoot the shit on the river with a beer.
