I got my stipulation and order for bifurcation stamped by the court today.  I am a free man.  The divorce continues to rage on in the court for over a year now but I am legally single.  I will have to pay cobra to maintain her health insurance until we can get the court to compel her to elect for coverage at her job or until we have a settlement in place.  But it is a small price to pay.

Congrats! I can feel your pain and freedom. My divorce took two and a half years and we didn't even have any kids to fight over. She was just psycho and drug it out as long as she could just to keep the misery factor on the rev limiter. And it was... Driving away from the courthouse after if was a done deal sure felt good. Like a load of bricks was finally off my back. Not having to pay anymore attorney fees was a nice perk too!

Enjoy yourself. Have a cold adult beverage or two.
