Wow,

I'm surprised to hear all of these issues, I mean all of the gas caps we have feature vents very similar to oem, and I have never once had a problem with the keyless cap on my 1098.

Hell I parked my bike outside at Clemson University day and night for 2 years with a keyless cap and never had an issue.

I also never once had vapor lock.

Is it possible that this problem is more accustomed to the older monster tanks? Because I can vouch for my 999, Multi, and 1098 that I've never seen a problem with a keyless cap, just a bunch of much easier fillups at the pump.

Ohh and they weigh about 80% less than oem too btw.

I had a locking cap on my old car, under a remote release flap thingy.

One night someone stuck a screwdriver under the flap and forced it open (scratching the paint around the filler cap), only to find the locking cap underneath.  They were unsuccessful prising this up with their screwdriver, so smashed my rear windscreen and stole their $20 worth of fuel from the next car.

I replaced it with a non-locking cap.  They can have the fuel if they want it that bad.
