Gonna have a ton of problems, only if those valves have been adjusted EVERY 6000 miles will the engine even want to idle.  Depending on the previous owner though, you would jsut have to get the details from them.  If anything throw a newer engine in there, if everything is in decent shape you could do a 1000 engine with lower miles for right around $1000

What's to bet he wants to bid on it, and just wants to keep the bids low.

I've heard that model monster has terrible trouble with the alternator preload voltage, causes no end of trouble with the brake bleed ECU timing, and really, really expensive to fix, by all accounts.

figure you'd sooner rather than later need new electric components, and probabbly need to change out the fuel lines, but you're still way ahead at that price.

i had a 1995. The electrics were on its way out. Something was always wrong. But mine wasnt in the best of shape.

If the bikes been taken care of, i see no problems. but at 30k, its cheap but keep some money on the side to start replacing things

i bought my 95 with the intentions of replacing just about everything. i know i'd be cheaper to buy a newer bike, but what's the fun in that.
