My manual says use at least 95 octane.  Do you guys use the gas with ethanol?  I'm not even sure where to get it without ethanol...

I put in the stuff from the expensive pump, whatever it is.

This is an old debate that pops up perennially. Given the tiny tank and the amount of riding I do, the additional cost of using super-duper-hyper premium is trivial. I don't worry about ethanol since I have an '09 Monster, but on older plastic tanks ethanol might be a problem. Depending upon where you are, good luck finding fuel without it..

When I'm at a station that only has "reg'lar" (which is relatively common around here) and I'm really low on fuel, I don't think twice about filling up with low-test.

'06 MTS 1000ds S - sexier than ever

The ethanol will not create a problem, AFAIK.

I use 91 (just in case, you know - the Pascal's Wager of fuel), although the debate rages as to whether at this altitude 91 is any different than 87. Some folks will say that 87 will ping, while some say that 91 will cause carbon buildup. I've experienced neither in both my old 620 and the newer 1000ds.
