Woke up and my daughter told me my bike is on the ground. bang head I think some b**ch a** mother make the beast with two backers were playing with it last night/early morning. I'm fortunate that I installed frame sliders and i think the only two damaged pieces are a bent shift lever and shifter. I figured the bike would eventually go down but not like this over some bullshyte.

Hooray for frame sliders! waytogo Check the gas tank hinge to see if it's leaking. Some gas might have flown out of the tank too, so you should wipe it off. If you dont' have bar-end weights you could put some on since those might help in the future as well. Hope the exhaust is ok!
Don't know if involving the police and or the insurance is worth it (might raise your premium). Someone with more experience might want to chime in...  popcorn

Exhaust was untouched and I didn't notice any leaking gas from the hinge. The shifter interfered with the retractable kickstand so I used a pair of channel locks to bend the shifter back into form. I had my eye on a SSR gp shifter but it was too long for my stock rearsets.

Frame sliders more than paid for themselves. waytogo

I rode to work and back. I had not ridden in like a month so it felt great. The temperature was perfect.

I like the look of the bike without the big @$$ front fender and turn signals, there might be a future mod in the works...  Evil

Zeta does hand guard covers with LEd signals built-in, I'm sure you could buy some LEDs and replicate the setup pretty easily (use brighter LEDs than they do--I have a set of theirs on my XR and while they are trick and durable, they aren't very bright and I wouldn't really want to rely on them in traffic).

Finished building a bunkbed for my daughter so hopefully she won't fall off the top like her father did at her age. Also completed my first oil change the M900 with my daughter's help. We work on the barter system.  Grin

Went for a nice year-end ride yesterday, this was the best bit of road I found!

Yes, it is a road! Although there is an end of state maintenance sign at one end.  laughingdp  Want to find more like this one. Evil

Wrapped day #3 of fully committed work renovating the bath of the wifes condo so we can get it in the rental cool. Some undereducated DIY shenanigans were discovered after I got to it on the demo that I'm now putting to rights.

Extra fun of this place is that it's got a concrete under flooring for the bath. The previous yahoo had taken up some of the previous tile and concrete with what appears to have been hammer and pick and gave up. 25 pounds of patch later and I had a sold suface to work on. I wasn't going to even try to remove the tile set in concrete (I already removed one layer of tile) - so with the help of a borrowed medium duty hammer drill and HadrieBacker subfloor got put in place. Remember kids wear your ear protection when using a hammer drill... even with my moto ear plugs in, that shit was loud.

New shower/tub faucet set up, with only a little bit of charred wood smell and zero leaks on the first go.

Got new cement board (1/2" HardieBacker) and green board in around the shower, taped and mortared the joints to seal it up nice and tight. The yutz who did the last go didn't seal up any of the seams in the green board with waterproof materials and it showed in places. My job will not be so shoddy!

Started to cut and stick tile today. More tile tomorrow... lots more.
