Oh, and I get some advice yelled at me by some horse-trailer lady. Or maybe she meant one of the n'er do wells standing next to me.
She was definitely talking to you. She was pointing and wagging her finger right at you!

Pulled out a little yellow dead bird that happened to find a resting spot behind my oil cooler and was semi-stuck to my horizontal cylinder. Thats what I get for riding up near Poolesville. Somehow it survived a ride home through the bump filled back roads and DC streets

hopeful!
there's no mark for the heavy part on the tires, so I decided to give it a try. commuting today I felt no vibes from the tires -really smooth actually- up to 50 or so. I'm tempted to get a balancer from harbor freight, just out of curiosity...

No. I just remember Mike (Extra330) talking about them when he changed a set of tires for me last fall. As I recall, he liked these better than dynabeads as they stuck to the inside of the tire a significant amount of time (2 weeks per their site) and were reusable.

JC Motors says they do:
http://www.jcmotors.com/p-31442-counteract-motorcycle-tire-balancing-beads.aspx
and so does the intarwebz:

Nice vid!
I read from here (
http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50717
) for the best tire changing technique. (For the same tire size) Ease/difficulty of breaking the bead all comes down to sidewall stiffness and tire temperature, IE: the warmer the better.
