There's no compensator/overflow bottle? If you're feeling crafty you could make one. An aluminum drinking bottle and some fittings would do well.
The tube is hanging off from the overflow bottle. I managed to pull it off of the radiator
but I don't see where the connection is on the radiator. I will probably have to lift the tank to route it back (I hope!) and plug it in. The cap on the overflow bottle is off and doesn't want to go back on. I'll figure that out later. I wish the weather would cooperate.

I got a ride in on the Magna yesterday
Not very long, since one of my new neighbors parked his VSP cruiser in front of his house. I'm definitely hitting the DMV on Thursday to get antique tags for her, hopefully Coleman's will have both tires in by then so they can install them.

Ah, old Hondas. My CL360 seems to not want to fire on both cylinders. I'm not sure what's going on with it. I swapped out the two 3/16" car fuel lines for two 1/4" motorcycle fuel lines. I noticed that the fuel line going into the right carb was dry, but the one on the left carb was full of fuel. I hope this little swap fixes the issue, but it may well be the petcock. I'll try firing her up again tomorrow, stupid sleet cut short any maintenance activities today.

POS controller on my Tourmaster Synergy (synergy my @$$) gloves packed up.
A replacement costs $40 plus so I got a $4 Rheostat from the shack and soldered it inline.

Valve clearances for the KTM checked and 4 shims ordered. Only one was technically out of the spec range, but I figured it's easy enough to set them all as close to same same as possible and be done.
Once those arrive I can button that thing back up and call it a bike.
Next the Duc gets some surgery...

Any luck?
Isn't there a balance tube between the two carbs (or between the 2 lines before the carbs)? There should be - normally the left petcock has a higher internal tube so it "runs out of gas" first (i.e. bike begins to stutter) and then you reach down and open the right one and get thee to a gas station. With a balance tube you can run around with only the left tap open and it also helps vs fuel starvation when leaned and the gas all goes to one side of the tank.
They normally sell the little T barbs at AutoZone or wherever.
I'd also put filters inline after the petcock if you don't have them - my guess is the petcock is blocked with rust and you don't want that getting into the carb jets.

Put coolant in the race bike since it only had distilled H2O and additive. Can't risk freezing water in the engine.

I drained the tank the other day, nothing but clean gas coming out of it. And my new battery is dead
and it won't take a charge. I hate lead acid batteries. Yes, I had it on a tender, too. It has the stock petcock, and I was able to get gas out of both tubes earlier. I'm going to have to drain the tank again, pull the carbs, clean them, reinstall them, and get a new battery. It looks like I'll be going back to MFI with the battery. The pods I ordered will not fit with the current battery in there, I might just get a new lithium battery since they're skinnier. I think at this point I'm not getting my money back if I restore this, so it's going to be modernized. My wife is going to kill me.

Hmmm. Maybe just swap the battery first? If it was wonky before that might be the cause of it not firing on one cylinder. If that doesn't fix it at least you've ruled one thing out.
Also, I'd swap the petcocks and see if the problem "moves". Or even just swap the lines - could be that that your float is stuck in the up position which is preventing fuel from flowing. Can you take the bowls off the carbs without completely taking them off?

I'm going to take the battery back first, then check the fuel delivery system again. And I just bought the battery a month ago, you'd think it would be good out of the box.

I rode the Magna back home from Coleman's after getting new tires put on her. She stalled twice, then died. I was fortunately within walking distance of MFI. They were going to take a look at her, but they weren't able to get to her yesterday. I suspected that the fuel filter was bad, so they loaned me the tools and I bought a filter there and did the change in the parking lot. Success! I got a jump start, too. Nice folks if you have a Honda. They got the battery from the CL360 charged, so it looks like my charger/tender isn't working right. I will pick it up on Tuesday since I had no way of bringing it back on the Magna. BTW, that V-4 is something else. I suspect with a plug and wire change it would be even faster. Now I want a V65 Magna.

Got to pick apart Nicky Haden's GP bike. Got yelled at by a hottie for touching the grips. The dry clutch was covered in rust spots so not sure how long the sucker has been sitting.

They needed the old clutch for Valentino's bike!
