Had work ruin a day off yesterday by working... asses.

But got down with my creative self and started doing some work to my helmet. I'd been using one of the helmet Halo reflectors of a long time - but they have a nasty tendency to come loose at speeds. So off with the halo and on with some white reflective tape I'm cutting to look like the stripes on my bike. It's going well so far.

Tapeworks bulk

http://www.tapeworks.com/ColorChart/ColorChartfr1.html#anchor

14" by foot multiple rolls.

I'm cutting it myself to width. I found that 5cm, give or take is about as wide as one can do down the center of a helmet when going over the top. Keeping it thin enough, a hair dryer and working carefully has gotten pretty good results. I tried wider at first, but it would just not form enough when going over the top.

Darmah popped my air mattress last night.  Now I have to try to get REI to live up to their "if you're not satisfied with a product in any way we'll take it back" policy.   Cool

They will. When they do their attic sale the returns have a tag on them that tells why. I saw one fleece that a woman had for a couple years before she decided she didn't like how much pet hair it picked up...

Seen some BEAT foot gear in the returns.

If you're not a member - get signed up. Besides the junkers the attic sale has some steals.

Except when you get it, knowing it's 10% of your ELIGIBLE pruchases... and going 'I spent HOW much there?! WTF?! What did I buy?!"

and then you immediately turn around and spend/apply that dividend on something else in the store...

Got a speeding ticket from the valiant DC popo.

Cop said I was doing 46 in a 30. I call bull****, it happened on Wisconsin Ave. southbound, a few blocks from where I live. I know the area, I've seen them pull over people before and I know I wasn't doing 46!

Of course what I know and what I can prove are two different things....

If anyone has dealt with this before, feel free to chime in and share your opinion. For what it's work the cop used a LIDAR (laser equivalent of a radar) to tag me.

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

Sept. 1st.

um....it'll mean I can open a second law office...the plan...

so if I ever get down that way (all 45 minutes to an hour) I'll buy the drinks.

(but I'll be set up to take care of everyone's domestic law, minor criminal, and traffic law needs...in MD...up close to B'more)

PM Chris.  Buy him a nice bottle of agave and he will do anything you ask, especially if there's a donkey involved.

I destockified the 620 when I got home...evoluzione plate relocator showed up on the doorstep. Hoping my plate's tucked up enough to avoid the speed camera they just installed on my route home from work.

Saw Inception today.  pregnant dogin' movie.  Found a couple of apartments in Alexandria, and a few folks that wanna lowball me on the Honda.  Oh, and in the process, I might've gotten cheated out of the Bikini Bike Wash.  LAME!

Where in Alexandria?  I can check to see what might be available where I live if you want, just a touch south of Shirlington. Was thinking you preffered something actually in the city.
