Massimo, you'll be happy to know that I did some research and the 998/748 forks are just a matter or milling the top triple so I put a bid in on a set.

You sound like my wife when she has to acknowledge that I was right all along. cheeky

Hahaha well in the interest of full disclosure the 999/749/1098/1198/848 all require brake spacing or different calipers Cheesy

Test rode an FZ8 over my lunch break in my continuing quest to see if there is a bike that fits me better than the Monster. I will say I was duly impressed by the bike's power, handling, and suspension.

I saw that one on some website or roadtest and it's one of the few new bikes that I see that I thought would be great to have - practical but also fast, and with modern but not over the top styling (Ducatician's new Triumph has the same aesthetic). Would make a great tourer.

Not that I need another bike - but still, you know in 3 years there are going to be a couple of low mileage examples just begging to be scooped up.

So all knowing all seeing Massimo, any insight on a spot to get my top triple milled?

I assume I might as well replace my head bearings while I have that removed?

I picked up a Cycle Cat blemished triple for $109 and a pair of used Ferracci bars for a hundy.

I know I'm not Massimo but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night......

Yea.  I had a little chuckle at that.
