Thank you everyone for advice and tips. I need to find a empty parking lot and practice braking. I seem to pull in the clutch everytime I panic brake. Gotta get rid of that habit.

Really appreciate all the input.

Now off to gettin the new forks Cheesy

You get used to it - my bad habit is sometimes half front brakes, half clutch, & half throttle all at the same time in some corners  Shocked

Good. Just got the new carb in. Got the oil tank on and some of the wiring. This is the hard part because it's all little annoying things that don't look like much and then 3 hours have gone by. Right now I gotta "massage" the coil brackets on.

Awesome! I can't wait to see that beauty in motion!

That's right, kneel before Zod!

Er

I appreciate the notes - it was just a lot of farm country roads for my tastes. Not really sure there is a particularly good way to get from NoVA to balmer.

You're preaching to the DC choir! Getting to north balmer SUXXXXX! I just slab it and get it over with. Good news is the ez-pass doesn't seem to read my transponder, tag or give me a ticket so I've been traveling free the last 3 or 4 times. waytogo

Bad news, there is no "fun way" from DC to north Balmer. Just slab it and get it over with. Plenty of great roads once you get up there though.

I don't even carry my ez-pass on my bike anymore.  I just run every toll and let it look up my plate number.  I don't monitor my account that much but I think my account has been getting charged either.

Made this out of a leftover sheet of 6061-T6 Aluminium.

It will hold down the front of the gas tank and provide some cover/protection for the pod filters.

Took the Guzzi on another test ride to Sears to get a hand-mixer. Came back and made oatmeal cookies! Yep, the rough and tough life of the motorcycle crowd. Not everyone is cut out for it.  Wink
