NC State Trooper pulled all three of us for 79 in a 55. Three tickets, and all are must appears because they're over 70. So at least $175 per ticket, plus about the same for lawyer's fess (we're going to try and get a group rate). Then I got pulled all by myself on the Tail for 69 in a 30. They knocked that one down to 55 though so it's just a $175 fine.

I was just thrilled to hit damn near 70 on the Dragon exiting a turn.

For the snarky little Italian, here's the video from the Tail. I'll get around to uploading photos eventually.

Snarky? Noooo, just a bit jealous! BTW, I think it was my grandma honking at you when you slowed down to a walking pace for the left hander at ~19:36.. She said you were like Crisco for the Dragon!  cheeky laughingdp

Heh - that's the corner where the HD rider decides to pass an RV, locks it up and goes right down in the gluch. It's a good steep ass 25+ down right there on the inside.

Ha, is that the same one? There are so many hairpins like that I hadn't noticed.

Here are all the good pics except for the ones of the Challenger SRT-8 that we put off a bridge, those aren't being posted until the insurance claim finishes up.

Look a little closer would ya?

And no, I don't mean at Massimo's charming smile.

Who cares if it doesn't have an exhaust?!? Shouldn't need gauges either if the ecu has been flashed. Looks like there's a rear rotor, so he ought to be able to stop (not well, granted, but still). Am I missing anything else?

ECU? WTF is that?!? Carbs (Keihin FCR 41) all the way! And I am seriously tempted to start the engine w/o the exhaust on. Evil

Quite a few things cheeky, but only these are relative to the build:
What's missing: wiring, trail tech vapor, rear cowl + light + license plate bracket, front rotors and exhaust (the only thing I can't do  Angry).

As for the track day, looks like I will not be able to make it, too many things working against it... bang head

Nice front brakes/rotors.....we used to jam our shoes in between the front tire and forks of our bikes as kids.....not sure if this would work so well for you.

Oh, yeah, I forgot this thing is as old as Methuselah you are!  Evil You should definitely start it without the exhaust. Shocked Shocked

IF you keep putting more things on that bike it's gonna be heavy as you are and slow as a 620. Grin Grin

Now look at the smile on that guy! Nice job!

Yeah, those must be "superlight" rotors.

Besides the disks and the exhaust is that it? You'll probably wat a taillight I suppose. Very close...

My Groupon coupon and I went to Summitt Park with a coupla friends for some karting. Twas awsome until the rain cometh and cometh hard it did.  Lap times went from mid 50's to low 90's.  Despite the downpour, limited visibility and high potential for spinning out they kept running them.  After spinning out 3 times under mild braking and acceleration I called it a day.

Only bright spots -

-  Saw a Porsche Cayman R on 70  bow down;
-  Saw the Miata and BMW CCA out racing on the main course; and
-  Couple of ladies thought it was a great idea to wear white t-shirts despite the weather forecast.  So the fellas got an impromptu wet t-shirt contest  applause
