You posted a pic on the internet. It's free to be used.  Wink

that's a pretty liberal interpretation of copyright law. hahaha.

I dont know why I didn't see that.

The photographer might have some issues with it being used without permission. It gets tricky with it being a Canadian company thats using it. Whenever I've had issues with someone using a photo, it's always been in the states.

Hey Spidey -- nothing cool on the TOB anymore -- thus they need to use your bike to get people to look there thinking something cool might be featured!

For anyone posting pictures on the Internet, post your URL/name on them.  It will save some headaches later.  Why?  Because nothing worse than your pictures generating revenue for others without your permission.

I've seen my pictures in books, magazines, Internet and on commerce sites and used without my permission.  On most the URL was removed.  Thus why the last year I went to the large "branding logo" look as it is harder to photoshop away.

My biggest surprise was about two years ago when my personal DesmoDevil appeared on eBay.  It was all my pictures (small url removed via photoshop) and was advertised and people were bidding for it.  Username was someone in NYC.  Thanks to an enthusiast who contacted me else I might not have known about it and wouldn't have contacted eBay to contest the auction item.  Imagine the headaches if someone "won" the auction and paid for it -- and found out it was a non-existant entity for sale!

I'm surprised it doesn't happen more -- high quality pictures by enthusiasts of their Ducati's ending up on eBay or other online auctions with people trying to sell the "real item" that they don't actually own.  It happens more often then you'd realize...

After all the shit they did - f'em.

Send a note to each address saying they used your photo without permission.  Threaten lawsuit unless they compensate you. If you took the photo then you have a pretty strong legal standing - if you didn't then it's pretty weak I think.  Either way it causes them to spend time working on that instead of banning users for tell them how shitty they are.
