Preferably in that order Wink

I have a few roads in MD I'm more than willing to share. They're all relatively close, between River Rd, 270 and Point of Rocks.

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

I wish I could make the Saturday ride with you guys.  I haven't gotten a chance to ride with anyone yet, but would like to.  If there is some riding planned for Monday though, let me know, because I will be off.

I am riding again on monday.

Ok, so what's the consensus?  I actually think an afternoon start works best for me tomorrow.  That will give me ample time to get all my shit the hell out of the hotel tonight and tomorrow morning.  But more importantly, it will give me time to enjoy this here cigar, along with a glass of bourbon, tonight.   waytogo

For any slackers, wafflers or lurkers - we are meeting @ 8 tomorrow. 1000 N Wakefield st. Off of Fairfax blvd. in Ballston. It's a parking lot for Marymount U across from a holiday inn. It's the last place you can turn before you're sucked onto 66 so don't over shoot. There is a light there just FYI.

We'll be going west to Marshall. As time allows to luray and timberville, wrapping around to Winchester.

Anyone out near the Frederick Fairgrounds on Sunday afternoon may hear the sound of flat-track racing.

http://www.barbarafritchieclassic.com

Heats at 11:30, mains around 3:00pm.

(possibly a Ducati tracker will be there, Joe Kopp got Ducati's first ever win in AMA Flat Track last May - and while this isn't a Grand National race a lot of the big guys show up because of the history behind this race - longest running 1/2 mile in the US - 88 yrs I think)

Hello guys, I am new to the forum, ride black Monster S2R 1k, live in Mount Vernon/Ft. Belvoir, VA area. Anyone here riding around that area? It sounds like most of you guys from MD. Anywho, if anyone is going to ride Sunday/Monday, I would like to join up if you don't mind. I don't ride often  Cry , so I am not looking to set speed/cornering records, but will try to keep up to the best of my ability. Thanks and I hope to see/meet some of you this weekend.

Actually, I think there are more of us in NoVa, but it really doesn't matter, it's all close enough.

I think Lars is going back out on Monday. I went with his "group" last week, and it was a good ride.   waytogo

I've gone down there a touch - but don't really know the roads so it's not a regular thing. There's a pretty good mix of folks, MD DC and VA. I live in south Arlington, almost where it becomes Fairfax co, so I'm only a shortish hop up 395, and so are some other folks.

if you back track in this thread I think there's something about Sunday. Also, twolanefun (gene) posted that he will be going up to Fredrick for the flat track racers http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=40018.0 - If you're game, Gene is an excellent leader as he knows *every* road in the area.

And don't worry - this boards population is great about considering peoples varied skill levels and encouraging folks to ride their own pace.
