Check the weather - calls for thunder boomers all weekend

Yes, weather permitting. I typically roll if it's 40% and under. So far it looks like we'll run into moisture on the way home, if at all. I'll check weather Saturday afternoon before making a call.

What time and what type of pace are you talking about?

I was going to roll at 7:30 if solo but am flexible if others want to join or do a shorter ride. Pace would be 20-30 over for the familiar stuff. Never been on 250 so don't know what to expect (except lots of curves).

I am up for a ride west of DC towards West Va. on Sat since I fly out to San Diego Sun am.  Really not looking to go through DC up to Bowie since the 395 and other main freeways ect will be clobbered from the memorial ride.  Meet up places...I could meet you guys on the 66 near the 234...suggestions?

Not really planning on being anywhere other than my place at half seven tomorrow morning.

My weekend is entirely dependent on the weather.

Brian: going riding on Sun at 730.
Randy: Where we meeting Sat? I fly to SD on Sun.
Lars: I can meet in Ft. Washington. I'm getting new bike next weekend cuz I work Sat.
Ben: Imma be my bed at half seven.

Jim: I'm a little confused by this thread! Huh? Huh? Must have drank too much during the rain delay. That raging pregnant dog bit me in the ass.

Will there be riding today?

Yes.
When and where will it be starting? "To where" is irrelevant in my mind.

I've decided to postpone the run to Monongahela due to ominous weather forecasts. I might be up for something short-n-sweet tomorrow morning, but the afternoon sounds like a wash at this point.

This, of course, means it will be sunny and 72 degrees with not a cloud in sight for the entire day. Grin

About 350 miles today.....left the house about 8am and rode out to Luray.  Stopped for breakfast at Uncle Bucks (excellent food) in the Luray business district. Absolutely perfect riding weather

1 REALLY bad road....Moreland Gap Road turns into gravel for a ways.

-Smith Creek Rd has a large section that is frehly repaved and is super nice and fast.
-Edinburg Gap road is very nice
-Fort Valley Road between 615 and Camp Roosevelt is very well shaded, several off camber corners, harpins, fast esses, and numerous DR turns...best of all no other traffic except on the east side.....nice view at the top too.

-Michelin Power One tires were phenomenal and put the Diablo Rosso's to shame.

-Stopped at Luray Caverns....for 23.00 I feel it is a big tourist trap...I enjoyed the Buggy and Carraige Musuem more

-To the 2 jacktard cruiser riders going 20 mph, then swerved over at me when I went to pass you...you can go to h3!!

-And last, but def not least---got pulled over by a State Trooper on 211 coming back.  70 in a 55.  I was yes sir, no sir and accidentally handed him my credit card instead of my license.  He said he didn't accept bribes.  He checked my info and sent me on my way with a warning.  A big thank you Officer....first time I have ever been let go with a warning on a motorcycle.
