i watched it last night. i esp like the pregnant dog slap that dempsey took. [roll]

and i do like listening to the conspiracy theorists. and i also love that every american who doesn't watch soccer on a reg basis is screming for instant replay because "it's not fair"

Speaking of pregnant dog slap... I read that one of the Algeria players pregnant dog slapped a female reporter after the game...

I like the Univision commercial they showed this morning. It shows all these different latin people saying that when their country, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, etc., play they bring the country together. The announcer jumps in and says that when the US plays everyone comes together. The melting pot is never as apparent.

I was a bit disappointed with the way they played.  :-\   The only time they stepped up was when they were down by a goal or two.   [roll]  Why the hell didn't they play with that passion and intensity the whole tournament?!   [bang]

Well, at least Team USA is still in it... If they can avoid losing to Ghana again.

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

I had only seen a couple highlights from the US-ALG game, so last night, the wife and I watched it on Univision (only channel showing it last night on our TV). IT WAS AWESOME!  [laugh]

I mean, the game was fun to watch...nail biting. But watching it in espanol brings a whole new level of awesomeness!

GOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!

You obviously have no taste. I fell asleep twice watching games on ESPN. They are extremely boring.

i'm watching the games, i know what's happening. the only thing i need announcers for is to tell me who the player is if i can't already tell. i tend to tune them out most of the time.

and the long drawn out goal thing was funny at first, now it just annoys the shit out of me. there isn't always emotion in it, most of the time it's being done just to be done. maybe it's because i'm white.... [cheeky]

and alexi lalas needs to be put out of everyone's misery too.

I have the games on while I work. I'm contsantly multitasking and can't keep watching the game the whole time. When I had the game on ESPN I could never tell when they had scored. I missed a few goals simply because they used the same exact tone throughout the whole games. Absolutely no emotion. The guys on Univision are more like fans than the "experts" on ESPN that sound more like they're bitter that they're not playing.
