Mid-Week Rides
«
on:
June 14, 2010, 01:39:01 PM »
Since I know a lot of socal'rs have flexible schedules, I thought I'd start a thread where anyone can post up about riding during the week. Less traffic/squids/Harleys/
.
I have the next two weeks off before starting my new job. Since money is tight and I can't afford a real vaca, I'm going to be making some day trips. Who wants to ride?
I was thinking either the 33 or ACH tomorrow. Anyone have a preference? Help me mOe up my mind.

I can't ride midweek because of this stupid jobby-job. How's the weekend look?
sac
Even though the road is shitty I've been wanting to do this again:

Hit up the 33 today. Gorgeous! Almost no traffic. I started catching up to one guy, until I realized it was a Ventura County Sherriff!
I saw him looking back in his mirrors at me, then he upped the pace a bit! Nothing too crazy, but we were hitting some of the corners between 50-60mph. [moto]
All in all, a good day!

Nice rides Ryan!! I was hoping to head out tomorrow afternoon, but the corporate transition is serioulsy affecting our personal time...the new overlords have the nerve to expect a full day's work out of us. Bastards. I will probably go for a ride late in the day to meet the SO in Santa Paula for a walk-through on the new place.
Visited an old riding buddy and his family in Atascadero this weekend (we hadnt seen each other in over 25 years!). Riders up there have got it made man!!! Miles and miles of great roads!!! On the way up, I took Foxen to Tepesquet to 166...I'd been on Foxen many years ago and thought it was too rough, but it is very nicely paved now. And Tepesquet is smooth asphalt all the way...what a great little road!!
