So, who knows of a good, trustworthy independent VW repair shop in the area?

Bethesda eh?  Well, seeing how my job will be in Bethesda for the first seven months or so...  ;)

I just need to get a full tune up (my VR6 turned 113K) and was looking for a decent place that was trustworthy.  I'm going to be living around the Shirlington area...

12V unfortunately, and the last year of that gen I think.  It's a 2000 MkIV, GTI GLX 5spd.

oh, that ain't a bad one at all ( I like the 12V over the 24V personally when it comes to the 2.8 6's)...just slightly ooomph-ier than dolci's VR6 even though the overall MK4 chassis (FWIR) is a bit heavier than her B4...and the last of the 12V VR's in a GTi are the early 02's and they kept putting them in the Jetta Wagon's till '04....

There are excuses... and there are reasons... for calling in sick. Lemme know if you're up for a Friday spin.
