I briefly sat on that bike in their showroom, it is sweet
If not for student loans I think I'd be swapping the Buell for the SMT. It has a really slim, light feel, but still comfy or so it seemed.

I thought the same thing when I rode the demo bike at JT Motorsports when the KTM truck showed up there last spring....

Cool! I'm hoping KTM runs out of 990 motors and wedges an RC8R motor in there by the time I've got my loans paid off
(not that the 990 is a slouch!)

One of my favorite pics of Lars from the warm days that were...
and how I feel about the cold days that are.

Found something interesting: more useful than a SUV and should be cheaper in the long run too. These vans are very common in Europe, but less here where people seem to prefer pickups.

Yeah, I think they are less popular here because their load capacity is pretty low, their mpg not all that hot and overall not all that comfy. Big pickups are essentially unavailable (or ultra-expensive) in the UE. The Transit would be super handy if they suit your need though. I have a big diesel pickup 'cause its so handy. I can tow my 20' box trailer with half a dozen bikes in it and haul most anything else I might need to and the interior os ultra-comfortable. A while back I wanted to build a trials course and I filled the truck up with logs and pallates. A different time I needed to re-contour my lawn. Borrowed a buddy's little dozer and towed it home with the truck. The truck has also hauled many cords of firewood, chugged through deep snow, pulled other things out of ditches, etc. For some things, like hauling just the trials bike to an event the Transit would be ideal and would save a bit of fuel, but the savings wouldn't be enough to make it worth having two cages.
I would def take the transit over an SUV for most things.

It's part of the local folklore, like visiting the museums or the humidity in the summer...

"Congress declined to renew either the 45-cent-per-gallon tax credit for corn-based ethanol or the 54-cent-per-gallon tariff on imported ethanol, so both expired Dec. 31.
Taxpayers will no longer have shell out roughly $6 billion per year for a program that badly distorted the global grain market, artificially raised the cost of agricultural land and did almost nothing to curb greenhouse gas emissions. A federal law requiring the use of 36 billion gallons of ethanol for fuel by 2022 still props up the industry, but the tax credit’s expiration is a victory for common sense just the same."
