Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

I am wondering if I should stop by HTO or REI to pick up an inflatable raft and BassPro for a lil outboard motor for commuting to work...

I am utterly and entirely tired of goddamn rain.

I hear that. My basement flooded last night when the drain couldn't handle the downpour. Must've rained like hell for a bit. A tree around the corner came down too. Missed this guys house by a few feet, but got his truck. Can we get a summer-do-over?

Not to revel in your misery but that DOES make me feel a little better. It was heavy enough that I found a small leak in the roof above the kitchen which I'm hoping is just a leak around the flashing that can be sealed. I also have water in the basement but the sump is keeping up so it's just a slight trickle across the floor that is being handled. My basement is concrete slab so it isn't a big deal.

I've been working on house projects since May and it just seems like as soon as one is finished the next begins. Not that that surprises me, but the projects are getting more expensive and out of my skill set. I'm not eating ramen yet, but if the roof needs major repair I might have to start selling sexual favors.

May take you up on that. I can frame and drywall but I tend to not screw with roofs just because of the potential of a reaaaaally expensive make the beast with two backs up. I'd gladly pay you for your time so that you can go out and at least get the GOOD ramen noodles.

+1  I'll be looking to do some renovations to the place that I just bought in the near(ish) future.  Do you do interior work as well?
