I'm going to miss the hell out of riding.  Hell, I already do & I can't even twist a throttle yet.  Still, now is the time for me to sell my stuff to fix my bike & start paying some bills.  So I have all this really nice stuff that I think belongs on a Ducati rider.  Before I offer it all to strangers or even put together an official "for sale" page (here, ebay, cl, whatev) I figured I'd give the local boys (and girls) a crack at it.  My size is 5 '7", about 155 lbs. I need to sell:

2 Battery Tenders
waterproof bike cover
Kryptonite NY lock
Alpinestars Black leather riding jacket - very used, in good condition
Custom made black leather pants by Z Custom Leathers in Cali (barely used)
Dianese size 10 boots (barely used)
Joe Rocket Size 10 boots (used once, boot won't fit under a stock Ducati Monster shit lever)
Waterproof insulated gauntlets (small) by Joe Rocket
headlight filament
summer shorty gloves - barely used
sweet large magnetic tank bag
airpump, cargo nets, clutch springs, stock shift levers, buncha rags odds & ends that I'd happily part with if you buy something big.

I also have to fix & sell my bike, so I am open to trades.  She needs:

Turn signal
Napoleon (ish) mirror
Foot brake lever (either fixed or replaced)

Hey anybody wanna buy a Ducati Monster?  She's good!

Please feel free to IM or email me.

4/13 I was on 18th St. before 5th Ave.  I was driving in the parked car lane when the light changed.  A cab swerved into my lane (possibly to stop me from getting in front of all the traffic or possibly because he's the worst driver ever) and I swerved to avoid the cab.  Maybe I also braked, maybe I hit some debris.  Either way I slow-mo fell to the right, squishing my foot & my hip and fracturing the sh!t out of my forearm just above the thumb into seven or so pieces.  On 4/21 they put in a piece of cadaver bone and a big chunk of titanium.  I put a link to my x-ray so you don't have to see if you don't want to.  The bike is barely and only cosmetically hurt.

I prefer PM's.  That way I know who's really interested in what.

I am so sorry to hear this, Dan.  I really hope you heal up soon, and I'm sorry you're giving up on riding.

Let me know if you need anything - pretty sure you have my cell.  waytogo

Dude.  Really sorry to hear about this.  Huge fear of mine these stupid cabbies, gypsy-cabbies (the worst in my experience), and stupid truck drivers... not to mention all the other cagers on the road.  Hope you heal fast.  If I get any good karma saved up I'll send some your way!

I just wanted to post that I visited Dan today.  He is doing well and is in good spirits.  I visited his bike too.  Absolutely no major damage, only the smallest ever, well, I wouldn't even call it a ding on the tank, well hidden by the perfectly intact mat black finish.  Other than that, a banged up mirror, some lever damage, heal guard, one missing signal lens (not for long) and that is about all I remember,  The bike starts up as soon as you hit the starter button and settles into a perfect idle.  Not much mileage was put on this bike since it had a complete major service including timing belts, so most will have a good year's ride before service is needed again.  This is a great bike for someone out there.  A classic with fuel injection, but none of the closed loop issues.  I will probably regret not buying this bike.  Then again...

Thanks everybody!  It's not like I don't wanna ride anymore, it's just that I crumple from low speed accidents.  A couplea weeks ago I took a bone density test.  I failed.  :'(  So far I posted up about a couplea boots on the Suspects Unlimited sales area.  Honestly the Joe Rocket Boots are not good for a Monster rider, but the Dianese are the best boots EVER!  If you guys need anything in particular, I probably have it.  Thanks again for everything!
