Does anyone have an educated guess as to how much adjustment would have to be made to the front end of a 696 to install Clip-Ons?  If not, anyone have any experience with these http://www.suburban-machinery.com/duchypmoto.html?

Well if you put them under the triple... zero.  Above?  It'll depend a bit on which brand.  Some have taller clamps than others.

Suburban bars are a known commodity.  Haven't heard anyone who's been disappointed with the workmanship.  Someone on there's probably got them - I just don't know of one off the top of my head.

Do keep in mind if you lower the bars below the cut outs for the air intakes you will loose maximum steering angle.

This may be a stupid question, but here it goes.  The M696 comes stock with 43mm Inverted Showa forks, when looking for clip-ons, will I still be looking for 43mm, or something different.  I ask because of the "inverted" part, does this change anything?

It'll actually be 50mm ones you're looking for, which refers to the diameter of the actual part that they will be clipping onto (outer portion), not the fork itself.

Well I can't speak for the 696, but as long as they're comfortable for you being that low, I say go for it! Or get some w/risers..  Smiley
