I like the longer tail on the 2010 heat shields on the cans, my wife burned her leg ( a little ) on my 2009 cans this weekend.  I think if the 2010 would work it would solve that issue--anybody know if it will work?

Negative.

I have a 2010 1100S, and I had them install the Termi slip ons which are still using the '09 heat shields (doh!).  I still have my '10 CF heat shields and just tried placing them on the bike with the termis... no go.  The bolts are in a really different position.  The '09 bolts make the '10 heat shield hit the exhaust hangars... if you try to mount the shield upside down then it sticks out way too far.  So without new hangars there's really no way to do it.

I do however have '10 stock exhausts with CF heat shields if you're interested in buying ;-)

If they are cheap I will buy them.

If not, I'll just save for different slip ons (Honey, I HAD to get these (Termi, Akrapoviks, etc), so you won't get burned any more!

If I understand correctly then, the new style heat shields will fit the 09 bikes if you also replace the exhaust hangers?

Well there's that and you'd need to get some spacers for the bolts and a way to add an additional 3rd bolt so that it doesn't rattle around.  Definitely a job but someone should really figure it out.

The CF cans really do stay much cooler than the aluminum ones.

Anyone know if Termignoni will start making new style exhaust slip ons; compatable with the new heat shields?

Also, from what I can tell from the catalogues, the exhaust hangers are the same for the 09 and 10 bikes.  It looks like the exhaust cans and shields and related bolts are the different items.  Also the stock exhaust cans themselves look to list at about $1,200 each side!

I'm not sure how they all are, but I got Termi's this week (still in box) but they had small heat shields with them... metal, tho.
