I'm looking at a used DP racing ECU for my 1100 but I was thinking it could be risky since it is used and it is an electronic device. Do these things typically fail or are they pretty much bullet proof?

Thanks

doh! never mind, the guy ended the auction 3 days early. I didn't think they could do that when there are bids on it. Ebay sucks ass...

There is a guy on here with a new stock one for sale--why not buy his and reflash it or tune it (at a shop)?

I would like to get the whole Termi kit. There was no reserve on this used kit so I was gonna put a bid in and see what happens but then the auction ended. Someone must have made an offer on it or something. I'll probably end up getting a new kit through my dealer. I just didn't want to have to pay $1500+ for it.

What's wrong with used parts?

All the parts on your bike are used  Wink

I wasn't aware that anyone was reflashing the m1100 ecu. If you know of anyone doing this can you post up a link?

We have the new Siemens ecu. I don't think they do ours.

I'm not aware of anyone (yet) reflashing Siemens ECUs.

Our local Ducati dealer is no re-flashing the ECUs... I think they said it can be done for $500... not certain if that helps any as I don't know the used eBay cost on these items.
