Scored this gem while junktiqueing for under 100 bucks as a non-running relic.

A little oil, manually working the pendulum mechanism to relieve the overwind pressure on the clockwork,, dead-leveling and adjustments and it runs ...well just like a clock

adjusted the pendulum bob and it is dead on time

a little research and it turns out it is a New Haven Clock Company 1910 San Rafael Mission model...

102 years old and now still chugging with a little love

it is heading to Asheville mantle...tall but with the near 10 foot ceiling and high mantle over the fireplace it should scale perfectly

it even has the original wavy glass.... albeit split across the center behind the fence/grill on the door....

I clear-superglued the break and fixed the securing strips properly with brass nails instead of tape and thumbtacks

you can hardly see the split with the door shut...its a keeper...

you can't find anything that's real Mission or Arts and Crafts from the original era for under 11ty billion dollars

I might have a piece of wavy glass that's large enough to replace yours.

13 1/2 x 6 1/2....if you have an old bubbled/wavy pane that does the trick or that I can cut down let me know

I might come visit you on a side trip when I am up in Gloucester next  Wink

after 3 hours of watching my wife and step-daughter interact up there

I am near ready to give Lethe a run for his money on any road

There's a couple of folks still making the stuff out your way and in Illinois...not the Amish stuff all over the web...

real old time types doing quarter-sawn white oak, ammonia fumed finish

and joined properly... mortised and tenoned etc

still ain't cheap to get the pieces made now the right way

there is a guy making my 101 inch long mission radiator covers over in Danville Pa.

500 bucks a piece and I go get them and self-deliver to NC  Undecided

good cabinet work isn't in my skill range...I am more of a nail-pounding framer type

since there was no place to get them from a China reseller or catalogue
