I still don't understand the "effect"  he used. This is approaching or leaving the ground with ice all over it?
I think he's floating over water and the sun being blocked by the balloon allows you to see the rocky bottom and the reflection of the colors of the balloon on the water.

No ice involved.

That said less talk, more pics.

I wonder how it took off ....

There's no tread mill in sight  Huh?

The bird/eagle or whatever is above the balloon - out of sight, but it's there.

The balloon pic was looking down into the water from the basket.  It was over the American River.  Reflection pics are fun.

As I child I watched about 30 minutes of The Three Stooges before school, and at least another 30 minutes of the Three Stooges after school.  Monday through Friday.  From at least the time I started the 1st grade in 1965, till at least finishing the 7th grade ten years later (okay, I really finished on time).

I loved the Three Stooges.

I had researched their grave sites online, and one day I was in East Los Angeles for work when I realized that I was less than a mile from the cemetery where Curley and Shemp are buried.

The guy at the office was nice enough when I asked for directions to the plot (I asked for directions to the plot, not mentioning any names), but he cut me off with, "You're looking for Curley, why didn't you just say so?"

He drew directions on a pre printed map, and threw in directions to Shemp as well.

Curley's real name was Jerome Horowitz, but like his brothers he changed his last name to Howard.

I previously had paid my respects to Larry out at Forest Lawn in Glendale.  So that's three out of the four Stooges.  I still need to pay my respects to Moe in Century City.

No disrespect to Joe Besser or Joe DeRita, but they were never really stooges in my book.
