Though the film just used the exterior for some opening & establishing shots - the movie interior was (IIRC) all studio shots. Kinda too bad, as the interior of Timberline is one of my favorite places, one of the finest examples of depression-era Works Progress Administration craftsmanship in the U.S.



You should really scroll down and see some of the amazing details left behind in the late 1930s by the master blacksmiths, woodworkers, stoneworkers and more at the link Mendo Dave posted above, which for lazy folks is:
