Love My Monster

« on: June 29, 2010, 08:21:07 AM »

Hey guys I'm back! I wanted to take sort of a poll.  I'm thinking about selling my S2R 800 and picking up a Hypermotard 1100S.  But I'm not too sure how I feel yet.  Any thoughts?

ps here's an older pic of my bike... new rizoma mirrors and DP folding turn signals aren't shown.

thanks to glantern for the pic... he's the one who first spotted me and brought me to the forums  chug

The motard is going to be a different feel, not only in power but seating position and center of gravity.  I think try riding one before you trade and if it feels better go for it.

A KTM Superduke would also be a good choice or DRZ400 supermoto.

I love my S4RS, but must agree.  I test rode an earlier model and fell in love, but also realize that if I owned that bike, I would probably injure myself cuz it's so much fun to ride.

i never got to see your S4R CDAWG... looks like i might need to take another ride into the city  chug yea working as a tech at the local KTM, i've seen way too many DRZ's and WR's to want one.  Not the best craftsmanship... nothing like a nice Duc or KTM.  The super duke is pretty insane, but I'm not a huge fan of the looks although I'd probably get a great deal on parts and service  Evil.  I took the shop demo home for a weekend and got pulled over way out east in long island.  (no ticket though  waytogo)  From what I understand Michael Schumacher loves it too.  Looks like I should take a demo rider on a HM to really figure it out.  OR maybe a customer will be so nice as to let me ride it further than the shop parking lot, which is the only experience i've had on one  Undecided

Talk to Marian at Rockwell Cycles.  They are very accommodating and near Bear Mt which will allow you to put it thru its paces.
