Track Day Expo:

We're excited to announce that we're kicking off July with our first ever Track Day Expo at Motoprimo Lakeville Superstore on July 6, 2010, from 6:30-8:00pm.

Whether you're a Track Junkie or never set a wheel on the track, this is for you!! Come and join us for an awesome evening, get all the information you need and shop for all your bike and gear needs!

There will be a lot of great info with great folks on hand for your every track need. If you're a regular ZARS rider, come and hang out, talk shop and share your experiences with soon to be Track Day riders.

Gear reps will be coming in for this special event, plus instructors and ZARS staff to answer any questions you may have!  We'll be doing a suspension seminar with Ohlins professional, Rob Oliva.  Plus give-a-ways and much more!!

Yes, Rob is the suspension guy for sure. This is a rare opportunity since he is down in Iowa. Normally you see him at CRA events, or AMA, WERA, CCS, etc. It's a great opportunity to speak with a suspension professional face to face if you are thinking of upgrading or have questions.

IN!   can't wait.

Did you make it KP? If so, sorry I didn't introduce myself. I was the guy that gave the first presentation. I hope that you found some useful info. If you have any riding school, or trackday questions, feel free to ask!

I wanted to talk to you but you were always busy! no worries.

I talked quite a bit with Jessica, I thought it was a great event. Hope
ZARS & mp can put on a few more.

seriously? I really need help getting to the next level. I feel like I'm stuck at Beg I, like what that one instructor said last night. I have positive laps and still some negative laps. I think he was talking to me! Thing is, I've never felt "scared" or "fear" on the track. The bus stop kicks my ass about half the time!

oh and I'd like more top end on my M620.

how's that?

Great! I love it when people want to progress!

We will have to spend some time talking at DCTC to really help you out. But first, what makes you feel stuck? What are you struggling with exactly? Are you feeling pressure to go faster? Is there something specific that does not feel right? Instructors can ride along with you and give you excellent feedback on what we see, but it will take your own self evaluation as well to help you the most.
How many DCTC days have you done, and when is your next one? A lot of people stay in Beg. 1 or Beg. 2 for a while because the pace feels right to them. It's a pace that's faster than the average weekend twisties pace and people settle in there for a while and like to spend time working on their skills before moving on. Each person has a different learning curve and pushing too fast will not benefit you.
I teach the Beg. 1 class a lot so I may be in there the next time you're out. I can spend some laps with you and give you feedback. If you want, we have 1-1 sessions where we give you 1/2 hour of dedicated time to work on whatever you need. You can pick any instructor that you want.
If you would rather not talk about your riding on here, just pm me.

I tend to be with the intermediate 1 beg 2 guys and I've had the same guys acouple of times.  The main thing is don't feel pressure.  A relaxed rider is a more confident one who does better in all situations.  The bus stop throws alot of people off, so you're not alone.  find a spot on the track to start with and build from there as you build you get the confidance to go to the next corner or trouble spot and use what you just learned.  think of it like a house of cards 1st you build that 1st level then the 2nd and so forth.  and like a house of cards it becomes eaiser to do each time.  Feel free to ask me any questions.  I instruct on the 410 bike. Honestly; seat time. after awhile its like blasting squerrls easy, fun, and rewarding[bacon]

thanks guys!  honestly the only pressure is from me.

I'm not a total dork out there, although I do have dork zone-itis
once in awhile. I'm new to the track this year, and so far the
hardest part is resisting signing up for a session every weekend.

I have to go at least once a month! If I pick up an extra work trip
every month I can afford it twice a month.

Every lap I look forward to the Carousel and the bus stop to see if
I've learned anything from the last go round.
