Or one of those things they have gas station restroom keys hooked to.

While you still have a key, buy one of the Silca KW17T5 cloneable key blanks and get your key cloned, even better get two of them and get it done before you lose your only key.

If you get the blank and can find a local locksmith with the right equipment, it takes about half an hour.  The equipment is also used for several automobile keys so it shouldn't be too hard to find a locksmith with the right machine - Ilco/Silca RW2, RW3 or RW4  and probably others.

edit - I cloned my RED key this way and it works great.

make a dozen duplicates and attach them to Clap-on Locators

No kidding...you should have gone and had an extra one made when you lost your second one.  Use your noggin...that is what is there for.   :P

I tracked down the locksmith here by just randomly calling one or two.  I think there is an underground network because they gave me names of locksmiths that they 'thought' could do it and shortly I had found one with the right equipment - he didn't know he could do Ducati keys so you need to ask if they have the right cloning machine.  I watched the guy do it, he had to break out the manual because he hadn't done a Ducati key.  The manual listed Jaguar, Volvo - several Euro car entries.

Don't Ducati dealerships have the capability of cloning keys?

A Ducati shop could have a clone machine, but that is not the official way that Ducati does keys.  You'll either need your red key so official Ducati keys can be programmed into your bike or you'll need to buy new gauges, ignition switch, ecu and seat lock to get a new red key and key set.  You can call your Duc shop and ask.
