the guy in that thread found me one, but kinda didn't want to pay that much. but haven't discarded that option though.
should i mod my OE header or my FBF header? kinda makes me nervous moding the FBF header.

i dropped my OE header of to the machinist today and he's going to convert it to a 2 to 1 for me. quoted me $150 out the door, so i was pretty happy about that. the custom exhaust shop in town quoted more than double that. sometimes i wish i would just buy a gas mig welder.

if i like the 2-1 exhaust enough, i'll do the same to my FBF header. but i waiting to mod that one until i get my SS swingarm installed.

part of the reason that it's driving me to do a 2-1 is that i love the superbike kickstand sooooooooo much. bought one for $14 just to do a test fit, and love the look. beside i'm too cheap to buy new or new to me slip ons and one of my cans had been wrecked.

i love my loud a$$ 2 bros exhaust.

he said he's a little backed up due to the 4th and his mother's in the hospital. he said it should be done middle to end of next week.

that's sucks, but it spaces the time out for the goodies i'll be receiving. yoyo order, puma 1000 boots, 2-1 header. OMG! i can't wait.

when i pick it up i'll shoot some pics off and on the bike.

Look good. I'm curious, did you notice any change in performance?

i really haven't been able to ride it yet. stupid scattered showers. the only thing that might possibly concern me is the increase in exhaust output going through the single muffler.

Angle it higher?

just a curious question.

what equation did you use for the diameter of the single pipe as compared to the stock duals?

I would suspect the single pipe would need to be a larger diameter with a larger diameter inlet pipe on the can to compensate for the loss of flow of the second pipe.

I got one of a 600ss.
It know it wont help with a 900 but  the diameters of the pipe are tthe same as on the 600 monster.

the other thing  i did was weld a cap on a stock one.
didnt look as pretty as yours.
and like i said i have no idea if the 900 would run ok with half the exhaust missing.

+1

I don't think it will be good for performance
My 2 in 1 header has 50mm outlet
There is a 600/620 race class in the UK and some of those were riding with one can with a modified stock header
