Hey Ed,
Did you experience the same? I picked up a large number of short radar bursts on our way from Santa Fe to ABQ and saw at least 4  Police cars sitting in the median locking for speedsters. Good thing we were doing the speed limit all along  Grin applause

Just need to mention Ed's savvy of retaining a BMW tail light that lost its lens with a rubber band
and assisting Jimbo with his bike and JJ with his injured finger....he is still my hero!!!!

At least I managed to get in time to strip, let the dogs out, hop into Mini and pick the bag of dog food before they shutdown...worth the haul back...BTW there were two sneaky state troopers before espanola area...no radar, somehow Jim spotted them in lead and slowed us down...guess the prior close encounter/ wild life lecture has alerted other senses... Grin Man the disappointment on them troopers was worth a sight!

Ed thanks for electrical tape...new cure to slashed thumb!

& Cloner/ Scott- we really really missed you and the Panigale..hope you are better... waytogo
Here's more pics.

It was a very nice ride today with a talented group of riders.  It was dry until mid-afternoon and then we got some light rain on southbound I-25.  Those who went farther got more mountain showers.

Karl, there certainly were lots of radar signals and Police s in the medians.   I also noted the hiding place of the Pojoaque  Police with the black car.  If you are headed north and get within a mile of Pojoaque, you enter a high banked curve.  He backs into an access road at that curve where he can't be seen and uses radar from behind to check your speed.

Karl, if I'm your hero, then you might want to ask for an upgrade....  But, I do carry some tools and can figure out most, "get you home" fixes.

Good luck to JJ on his eastward journey.  I'm sure the riding in West Virginia will be fun.

Nice photos, sorry to have missed out. JJ good luck on your travels east bound.
Gabe and I rode the Santa Fe Crest. That road had a bit of gravel and if pretty technical, some tight turns. I really liked the variety. We came home on I25 around noon with no radar, averaging a buck ten with no trouble. Lucky or just plain stupid. Photo below

When those bikes accelerate from 40 to 80 while passing I just think come on baby do 65 for me. I had a great time and thanks for the rubber band. I got home opened up the float bowl and there was dirt in there. Time to put some on line filters in the system. It quit overflowing after Taos and I had a great fide back to Pojoaque. Of course the bike hardly goes over 80 so after you guys passed those cars it was keep it steady at about 60. Time to get the SS together so I can at least try and keep up a little. It was great to meet all the guys and put screen names to real people. JJ good luck in WV. After finishing with the bike I took the wife to the movies so a great day.
