Well funny story, good friend of the family is a highway patrol officer... He was told by hus superiors that if they see vehicles parked on the footpath they are to fine them...

They gave out 3 fines the other day just to these mobile speed cameras...

Something tells me the police don't like theses cameras

Apparently the NSW state government has quickly passed legislation to allow for mobile speed cameras to be parked on the footpath

Why does that not suprise me!!  Roll Eyes

I heard of an instance where the camera operator threatened to have a driver booked for parking (Legally) his vehicle in front of the camera car!?  Roll Eyes

Apparently a person can be done for "interfering with the operation of speed detection equipment" or some such thing, and has some BIG penalty's! Shocked

I always get a giggle out of the country-folk approach.

At known 'black-spots' ... you know the type just inside or outside a dramatic change in speed limit, often at the bottom of a hill but with a little 'cover' adjacent to the road ... it is amazing how many marsupials of the roadkill variety just happen to meet their demise in the immediate vicinity of said 'known blackspots'. Apparently it is a complete coincidence that more roadkill appears in these locations on regular occasions and already in varying degrees of decomposition.

What the make the beast with two backs do you think happens???   Same as for any other road user...

Looking at the locations document listed on the RTA website i cannot see any reference to the F3 or the Old Pacific, which is more than a Little surprising.

Don't worry I am sure they will get their fair share. But I was also surprised when I first looked at the list ... surprised and grateful.
