Post deleted.  Scam or did someone just scoop it up? What was it?

it also had some interest on dcsportbikes.net. someone probably bought it already.

Not as is. You'll need to shim the bottom triple and bore the top. If you search the forum you'll find several threads about fitting SBK forks to monsters.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

OR you can buy the triple tree along with it...though I will advise that your current calipers are probably a 40MM bolt offset and these newer forks ( pretty muc all forks 99 on up) are 65MM bolt offset...just something to be aware of....but he also has the calipers with good pads, lines, and master cylinder still all connected as 1 system...and he also has the front axle and wheel and everything....

Looks fun. But I'm looking for something that will double as my street bike. So unless that guy finds his title...

Now here's something interesting: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ducati-999S-Custom-/140801277369?pt=US_motorcycles&hash=item20c868fdb9#ht_500wt_1182  ???

titles are easy to get...abandoned? lost? I can help those who need help getting a title.  As long as I can verify it's not stolen, I can work it.

seems a bit more difficult in DC...looks like the police impound anything that is "abandoned" and then sell it at auction. Of course this would only be for the safety of the public; never to generate revenue.
