Hack a few things off and that could be an amazing looking motard.
Every time I meet a new group of your friends that understand you and your weird sense of humor I'm a little more amazed that there are other people in the world like you that lived through childhood - My loving girlfriend

They are nice bikes, slow though (that's fixable for a price).  A husqvarna SM610 is quite a bit more spunky, the same weight and not a lot more cash.  Its 6-speed makes freeway work a lot less buzzy too.  MFI has an amazingly looking 'berg 570 'tard on the floor too.  [evil]

Read about it online from a former owner, essentially it's a good all round bike, but buy something else if you want power and only 5 gears seriously limit the bike.

I'm poking around on fleabay right now, looking at the different SuMos there...  [evil]
I know I should just concentrate on my SBK build, but look at this: DRZ 400 SM supermoto super moto jump

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak for me.

Think of how far you could jump with almost double the hp, 80lbs less weight and suspension/chassis that's a bazillion times better (i.e., on my CRF450R)  [evil]

la la la la la la la la la  I caaaan't hear youuuuuuuuu! [laugh]

I did think about it for a moment or two, especially after I saw that Ram Cycles is selling this baby for $6,500

If I could, if I had the space really, I would have a garage filled with bikes! My 750 rat bike, bianca (the 2v SBK project), a sumo for my hooligan moments, a guzzi or two... I just have to hold back until my wife is done with her studies.  [evil] [evil] [evil]

Yeah I saw that one.  I honestly think you could do better building your own for the $$$, but the best value, esp if you wanna ride on the street right now are the Husqvarna SMs.  Like check this, fuel injected, 6spd street legal Italian 450 'tard brand new for <$5k

I've decided to part the 900 (1995 M900). It's still all on the bike right now so no fancy pics yet. I'm posting here first to give the locals first dibs. Here's a list of the farkles:

- Gio.Ca.Moto (now Ducati Performance) 916-style high mount carbon fiber exhaust (this is the full system, not just high mount cans);
- Cycle Cat rearsets with carbon fiber heel guards;
- Cycle Cat clip-ons;
- Rizoma bar-end mirrors;
- Ducati Performance speedo and tach set with warning lights and carbon fiber mask;
- Aftermarked clutch slave;
- Fully adjustable forks (compression, extension);
- Racetech springs need to check the numbers on those;
- Ohlins rear shock with detached reservoir (not visible in pics since I moved it under the seat);
- Light weight aluminum swingarm;
- Carbon fiber sprocket cover, clutch cover, belt covers, 'bit around the key lock', and side panels;
- Thruxton style mini fairing - I also have an original DP carbon fiber windshield that I'm willing to put on for the right price.

Aside from engine, carbs and wiring the whole bike is pretty much for sale (tank, frame, seat, seat cowl...) So any other piece you might need let me know. Wheels and rotors are likely spoken for, btw.

Here's two vids:

I think the answer is no, but I'll ask anyway: anyone know if those rearsets will fit the s2r?

I'll talk to you about the mirrors too if you're gonna be at steves.

Eh!  I was going to try to grab the mirrors for the SD.  Nebmind.  They be silver.

Might be interested in the rear shock if it can be crafted to fit the SC.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

That's a technically amazing bike, but I think they broke the ugly stick they hit it so hard.
