Just returned from Coleman Powersports (Falls Church). They have one Rev'It Sand Jacket(L) for $429. It would have purchased it but I need an XL.

Service intervals on the Bimota are a pregnant dog

Yeah but you could probably re-build the top end in less time than it takes to adjust valves on a ducati. Two strokes are wonderful things. I've literally put a top end in my husqvarna race bike in less time than a buddy managed to spend trying to change oil in his KTM LC4
Also, for whatever reason my two strokes' top ends have been outlasting sped'd replacement intervals by a factor of 10 (and I sometimes win races on them, so its not that I don't ride them hard enough). Not saying the V-due would be totally practical, but I'd have one in a heartbeat if I could afford it.

Huge +1 on that! I swapped piston and cylinder (50 to 70cc) on my scooter using MacGuyver-like tools! Fun little piece of sh!t to work on!

you guys are comparing normal 2 smokes to that Bimota V-Due which is a different animal altogether...tearing down the bike to service it being the 1st step, as I seem to recall it not exactly having been designed as a service friendly engineering build...

Interesting that one, maybe it actually handles. I'd volunteer to go get it, can you say Auto Train?
