I have a feeling it wasn't a full rebuild, perhaps a top end gasket leaked or the carbs were rebuilt.  I just can't see him being so casual about a full rebuild.

Dude, I'm doing all the paperwork now.  Sad thing is, there's a chance that the bureaucracy will rear its ugly head and I have been warned that worst case scenario, things could take several months.  Luckily though, my soon to be branch chief is hell bent to get me started and told me today that the director has authorized expediting the hiring procedures.

The 93's had the old style oil passages on the heads that were problematic. 

That bike has the steel swingarm.  Also a Corbin (?) seat and a high-mount exhaust.  I might go look at it...
