Phew, I'm not right about everything either, so it's good to hear I am amongst other fallible folk. Grin

As for pics, I'll never tune down an invitation to waste time at work googling and looking at motorcycle pics!

Here's a neat page that shows the evolution of the Suzuki RM 250:
http://www.suzukicycles.org/RM-RMX-series/index.html?RM250-RMX250.shtml~isoraami

You see the transition really start in 1982 when the 250 went liquid-cooled and the suspension travel started to get really long compared to the twin shock era. By 1984, the seat was overlapping the tank and the bike had really taken on the look that characterized dirtbikes for the next decade or more.

This page shows Honda's evolution, which seems to be about a year ahead of Suzuki:

http://www.xtreemedecals.com/hondamodels/h0200/cr250.html

This page has them all.  Here's Kawasaki: http://vintagemx.com.au/kawasaki-kx250-models

I'm generally open to drink and motorcycle discussions

CAM price is $1500.  Don't ask about anything cheaper than that.  :-)

Ohlins rear shock for hooped monsters on eBay $599 OBO (no relation to seller, IDGAF. but these are a bit hard to come by so I figured I would share).

I do know that seller and he is waytogo

I think the price is a lil on the steep side, but you are right, THAT shock is a lil harder to come by, and moreso with that mounting plate for the reservoir.

That pretty gold anodizing takes a beating in that location.  Specially with no rear fender.
